The Channel Management feature lets operators define a channel lineup for the entire service area or for each region within the service area.
Operators can easily map the internal channel IDs to the channel numbers that subscribers will see on the television set.
A single stream (a channel) can be shared across different subscribers or regions within the service area but with different channel numbers. With this feature, operators can match the channel numbers of their services with those of an incumbent provider making it more comfortable for users to switch.
